Turkeys satellite TV provider Digiturk has chosen Unified Streaming to support its new consolidated video-streaming environment. Founded in 1999, Digiturk claims to have been a forerunner in streaming live sports events. The company also holds the broadcasting rights for Turkeys premier professional football league Süper Lig.
It reportedly pioneered the introduction of HD, 3D and 4K technologies into the country. Currently a subsidiary of beIN Media Group, Digiturk offers a multi-genre array of national and self-branded video and audio channels.
Speaking about the partnership, Hatice Memigüven, CTO at Digiturk said: Our ambition has always been to give audiences the best user experience, no matter where they are in the world. Incorporating Unified Streamings flexible technology for all our channels means we can meet our viewers expectations.
Unified Streamings software plugin Unified Origin will enable Digiturk to deliver a stable, seamless viewer experience to its subscribers in Turkey and across the Turkish diaspora. Features will include support of a multi-CDN and multi-DRM strategy and the integration of a network PVR.
